Your new SOA office, located at 150-22 Tahoe Street, opened in January 2026. We held our first union meeting on March 5, 2025, to a packed hall, which was well received by the membership.

SOA Introduces A New Website

We are proud to introduce a brand new website design.  In addition to a more contemporary design, your new website is interactive and will constantly be updated to reflect the information most important to you, our members.  The new Breaking News Section will always display hot topics that you need to be aware of.

We are also introducing a Member Discounts section at www.nycsoa.com/Member-Discounts that will provide vendors offering discounts to our members.  We are proud to have P.C. Richard & Son as our first offering. Over the coming months, you will find dozens of new vendors added to this list.

Notice of participation in WTC rescue, recovery or clean up operations

Any NYCERS member who participated in World Trade Center Rescue, Recovery, or Clean-up must fill out this (F622) form, have it notarized and submit it to NYCERS before 9/11/2026. This form must be on file (even if you are on 3/4 WTC disability). Without this form on file, if you pass from 9/11 illnesses, you cannot get your NYCERS pension reclassified as Line of Duty and your spouse will not get free medical for life. If the member has already passed, their widow may fill out the form on their behalf. Submit this form as soon as possible and share with any other NYCERS members you may know.
